There is no doubt that this decision will be ratified next week by eurozone leaders at the planned summit.
Estonia as a country does not say much. It has only 1.4 million inhabitants, an area less than one third of Greece, an economy somewhere between sixteen to seventeen times less than that of Greece and per capita GDP less than half the Greek one.
It’s state financial fundamentals however, have the potential to make the heart of every genuine German skirt with joy: The 2009 budget deficit was only 1.7% and its public debt - warning this is not a typographical error! - was only ... 7.2% of GDP!
Yes, when the public debt that Germany in 2009 was 73.2% of GDP, far exceeding the 60% maximum threshold set by the Maastricht Treaty, the Estonians have succeeded to maintain a debt at the incredible rate of 7.2%. And when the average deficit of the 16-nation euro zone was 6.3% and that of EU’s 27 countries was 6.8%, Estonia had a deficit of 1.7% last year. Estonia suggested that inflation in 2008 exceeded 10%; Ah wel..., 2009 inflation pierced the floor and fell below zero! A decrease, not increase in prices by 0.7%!
The German "Frankfourter Algkemaine" could not hide its joyful emotions when it called Estonia "an exemplary student of fiscal discipline." It is reasonable however to wonder: how did Estoniaachieve in such a short time this kind of a financial miracle? The answer is simple but painful: destroying Estonians! In 2009, the Estonian GDP experienced abysmal sinking: a reduction ... 15%! Only during war times we see such falls in GDP. There was no war of course, but the government launched a civil war against the Estonian people: it ejected unemployment to 20%, it massacred not only the salaries of civil servants by 20% to 30%, but went on to firing tens of thousands of them, there was a decline in pensions by 20% or more, almost destroyed completely the hospitals by cutting up to 40% of their budgets, brought complete misery in a similar way to public education and almost completely eliminated redundancy and unemployment benefits.
The Estonians however, bowed their heads rather than revolt. So as they have sunk into poverty and misery, the numbers have experienced unprecedented prosperity. Deficit disappeared, after the government unleashed a pogrom against civil servants and pensioners and it left no money for hospitals, schools and government institutions. Inflation also disappeared, since the country was full of unemployed people who just did not know how to survive.
Moreover, the government gave back to foreign banks most of the money gathered, so debt was decreased.
This is exactly how Germans and certain extreme neo-liberal European circles are dreaming to degrade countries and peoples across the EU. Fortunately, neither we are, nor ever we want to become Estonians! We and many other people like us, will not sacrifice people for the sake of numbers.
The ECB:
Rejection proposal!
Torturing...of the German kind, seemed to have been planned for Estonia by the European Central Bank. Surprisingly, it suggested the rejection of Estonia’s request for membership in the euro area, although it does meet the formal criteria. According to a "Frankfourter Algkemaine" article, in line with the ECB, "The postponement of Estonia’s accession should be requested ... In Estonia’s case, it would be easy to implement such a suspension and could possibly give it new momentum; while for the euro this rejection would be a valuable sign that in the future rules of monetary union will be respected, even if they are not in harmony with politics

Oudekki, siin on tekst sellisel kujul nagu mina sain:

ETHNOS, By George Delastik <br
